The second of two tapes I uncovered cleaning house (the 1st was the Pontiac tape from 1987
posted earlier).
Same story here. I aquired the tape shortly after attending the concert.
I was told the tape I was given was from the master. Howevwe, in this case, the person from which i aquired the tape was not the taper. I don't have more detailed info on this recording.
As for the concert - Bono guts it out in this performance. His voice is noticiably hoarse
from illness and an aggressive tour schedule.
I recall hearing radio reports that day that the concert was in jeopardy of
being postponed or cancelled. Thankfully for me and the other 24,000 in attendance that day,
Bono was an ironman. It was a great concert!
